Introduction
These formatting options have been implemented to make a cleaner output from Japanse lyrics. Thus, they might not be of use with Western lyrics.
However, when mixed Japanese / English occurs, these prove to be especially handy.
General rules for Japanese text processing in Soramimi
Because all the syllable seperation is based on Microsoft's Input Method Editor (IME), it is vital that Japanese text is all written in lowercase.
Anything that is uppercase will not be processed when converting.
The format button
This will cleanup a lot for you. By default, it trims all lines that
have spaces or tabs at the end. Extra formatting options can be set.
The most used have been ticked already.
First Character lowercase
Makes all first characters of words lowercase, ignoring words in
uppercase:

Double spaces to hard return
Converts all double spaces to a return to break up a line. Some lyrics
have those in to indicate a long pause.

Double returns to single
Converts all excessive double spaces to a return to break up a line.
deaeru youna mahou wo kakete |

Hepburn conversion
Converts all romanizations (like Kunrei) to the Hepburn conversion standard (as used in recent Japanese learning books).

Remove indented lines
Some people like to write the English translation of Japanese parts indented. This removes those lines translations.

Kana reading
Converts instances of 'wa', 'o' and 'e' to 'ha', 'wo' and 'he'. This is, so the conversion to romaji and
kana will function properly.
For example, when you're writing "watashi
wa
baka desu" in Japanese, you actually write "watashi
ha
baka desu".<br
